Today I downloaded the sheet music for some of my favorite Nick Cave songs, and have been playing them with my sweetie and another friend. We make a very lovely little trio, me on piano, my sweetie playing guitar and singing, and my friend R playing the accordion. One would even call the scene idyllic, beautiful day in the country with good music. I’m already making plans for my next trip to LA, some big things in store. 🙂

    Oh! You are with someone!
Is your sweetie guy? girl? or TS?
    Anyway, I envy your sweetie…

My lover Sarah and I have shot several scenes together over the years, for my own productions and for DVD release. If you are a member of my site you should check out the video we shot together in the woods.

Which songs by nick Cave? I really like all the “Murder Ballads” album, especially “Henry Lee” and “Where the Wild Roses Grow”, and several other pieces, like “Into My Arms”…

  4. Mandy Says:

Into my Arms was actually one of them. That, “People aint no good” , and “Babe you turn me on”. The Murder Ballads is an incredible album, its a shame Nick Cave and PJ Harvey stopped collaborating.

“People ain’t no good” is another great song, in my opinion. Nick Cave usually sings in a quite low range, Sarah is probably a good alto, to sing his songs! Anyhow, I completely agree with you, Nick Cave and PJ Harvey together did great things. By far stranger was to me the duet with Kylie Minogue!

Mandy, you’ve probably heard Nick sing I’M SO LONESOME I COULD CRY with Johnny Cash on AMERCIAN IV record. However, on Cash’s box set UNEARTHED Nick Cave and Johnny Sing CINDY CINDY…an aged song heard in the John Wayne movie RIO BRAVO (Sang there by Rock Nelson and Dean Martin).
    S’good stuff.
